Cranberry Sweet Relish!

My sister Jessie makes the best Cranberry, fruit and jello dish that was a huge hit at Thanksgiving this year, so I thought I'd post it to the blog for everyone to enjoy next year.  It's SO easy to make and you can make it the day before or early in the morning!!


1 (3 oz) pkg. raspberry gelatin

3/4 c. boiling water

1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple (drained)

1 (16 oz) can whole berry cranberry sauce

1 red delicious apple - unpeeled & coarsely grated

1/8 t. salt

1/3 t. ground cinnamon

dash ground cloves, optional

1 T. orange rind (optional)


Prepare the pineapple, apple and lemon zest and put it all together in a bowl.  In a medium-large bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water.  Stir in fruit mixture & remaining ingredients & pour into dessert cups or glasses!!  Cover & chill until firm.  Makes exactly 8 servings
